Northern Ireland Land Rover Club
Minutes from meeting held Monday 30th June 2003-08-09 Corrs Corner Hotel.

The Chairman welcomed all the gathered, and extended a welcome to Rosie the returnee, after a few years in the wilderness.

Apologies: Received from, Ian Clarke, Michael Lynn, Trevor Cuthbert, And Big Richard Green.
Correspondence: Via web site, 4X4 & British off road show, Aug 29-31, offering us a stand at the show with free entry and camping, there were no takers.

Previous minutes, read fabulously by the secretary even though he never writ them. Approved by the assembled as a true and accurate record of the meeting.
Matters arising: The Chairman asked if Simon Donaldson would buy Mark Dobbin a pint for recovering him with his winch.
Wilbur has not yet received a set of minutes, sorry about that Wilbur, posts wild slow. A few people mentioned the fact the membership cards were self-filling out.

June events.
Drumclog, Scotland. Simon Donaldson started into a report, which was crap, so our President took over, stating in great detail, about the fabulous site, and would recommend it to anyone, hopefully, he concluded, we would return with greater numbers. The après off reading, the drink was flowing, and the chat was wild. Thanks to the Chairman for organising.
Favor Royal Forest: The chairman reported on the event, how it was good to get into a new forestry area, although the first part of the day was slow to start, the last two runs were great Craik. Thanks to John Hughes for his efforts.
RTV POD ASAP SAE in Ballynahinch. Yvonne McClelland reported to the gathered that this was an excellent day, Simon and Tracy have done a lot of "Land scaping" to their ground, this in turn made for some superb courses, to quote "runs in the sun". Nothing like it! Thanks extended to Simon and Tracy.

We have received a letter from Nelson Stevenson, the owner of the Quarry. Stating, basically, that we are loosing the quarry for two years, as they have let it out to a company for that period. Ian is going to contact the quarry owners, and Seth is going to clear out the clubhouse. Mark asked for any sets of keys for the quarry, be returned to him, so that he can pass them on to the owners.

Safety Officer, new forms working well, he's very pleased.
Equipment Officer, all well kept
President, exceptionally happy!
Secretary obh Michael, MSA liaison officer, we have a good 121 with the MSA
John Hughes reported that we have issues with the forestry.
In light of this we have decided to appoint a member of the committee to be the official forestry liaison officer, along with Ian Clarke, one of our founding fathers. The President was unamously voted into this position; he is to liase from now on.

A.O.B:
Not wanting to be out done by his wife. Harry again thanked Simon and Tracy for their extensive work.
David Jacobs raised a point for all those who recee a forest, to bear in mind that there are some members who have only one vehicle and they use it every day, so even a brief description of what lies ahead would be appreciated, in the occurrence of immense scrapage or damage, can at least be avoided.
